About This Design

I was inspired by the fallout out of what one could consider a failed state - one that needs a supply of electricity that the state can no longer offer. It is in this way that I played on the theme of governments (seen in the poster representing a pillar as the need for electricity). I also decided to insinuate that power outages may be purposeful and a conspiracy theory in the van wrap - that a lack of electricity/lack of resource is on purpose and as a result of poor planning, hence the scissors cutting the power. In South Africa, the reason that we have a collapse in the energy sector has been blamed on the lack of power plants - it is because of this that I decided to use the literal pot plant to represent that electricity does not "grow on trees" and is in fact a serious object that needs attention from the government.
