About This Design

The concept was inspired by the idea of having power 24/7, meaning that your power will always be ON. The image of an on/off toggle switch came to mind. The letter ‘o’ of the word ‘com’ was cleverly crafted to symbolize the idea of an on button. The colour green, which is associated with an ON button, was used. Less is more and this typography-based logo is simplistic, yet it clearly portrays the 24/7 ON concept. The word switch is associated with power and therefore a play on this word was used for the poster and van design. Two toggle buttons placed next to each other (both on) also reminded me of eyes and therefore it was cleverly used to tell the customer that Electrocom ‘never sleeps’, meaning they will always have power. The ON switch logo symbol also creates a beautiful pattern, almost reminding one of a South-African look & feel.
