I wanted to think completely out of the box for this brief and decided to go with a contrasting theme of crime and justice in a Deco Noir style. Noir has always been depicted as a style that emphasizes low-key lighting and unbalanced compositions, something it has in common to the black-and-white way the law is interpreted and how justice is served. Justice is one of the most recognized symbols in pictography. Portraying Justice as a female figure dates back to ancient mythology and I continued its use with the female figures in my concept artwork. I complemented the minimalist Noir styling with the fine work of Art Deco in a golden accent to balance the artwork.
