My Inspiration:
The Logo represents South Africa as a rich, vibrant country. As a country, we need a new beginning with the current energy crises we are facing. This logo represents that new beginning. The font of the logo showcases the new, modern technology that is necessary to upgrade the structural systems that are currently used to supply energy to the people of South Africa.
The font is bold and all caps for the main wordmark. This shows strength and stability. An energy supplier we can trust and rely on to deliver on time, any time. The colors are inspired by the South African flag and the vibrant colors of South African cultures with the main and primary color being blue showing: wisdom, stability, trust, and strength. What South Africa desperately needs at this time of crisis.
Red shows life, courage, passion, and vigor. Yellow shows: energy, positivity, hope, and optimism. And Green shows growth, Nature, Peace, and Harmony. You will also note that most of the backgrounds are white. This shows that there is no darkness anymore. Wherever this service is supplied there is light. As opposed to dark, black backgrounds.
This logo is very simple, minimal, and versatile to be adapted to any size medium, big or small. Focus was given to the bare minimum elements to avoid clutter. This helped the main message come across more clearly: Energy suppliers. The Logo was also placed on a white background and on a black background to test one-color printouts.
In Summary: This logo represents our rich vibrant country full of hope, positivity, optimism, stability, strength, and most importantly: a bright future.
